Before logging in to the Members Only area for the first time it is necessary to set up an account. This can be done as follows:
Go to the “Members’ Area” title and select “Registration”. Once there, a form is displayed which asks for First Name, Last Name, Email Address and a User Name. Fill these in appropriately, with the User Name being something that will identify you (so mine is Beth Jenkins, for example). When the information is complete, click on the “Register” button. A confirmation page will appear, with a link to return to the main website. If the User Name is already in use by someone else it will be necessary to try a different one.
Having registered for an account (which only needs to be done once) it is possible to log in to the site as often as is desired. To do this either click on the “Login” text in the top right hand corner of each page or go to the “Home” page. Type in the User Name that was chosen (this is not case sensitive) and the password (this will initially be the password given in the Society Notices) then click on “Login”. If the User Name and/or Society password are incorrect an error message will appear; simply try again.
Once logged in the website will change slightly so that all of the Members Only features appear when the “Members’ Area” title is selected and the “Register” and “Login” boxes will disappear from the “Home” page. The User Name will appear at the top right hand corner of the page and the “Login” text will change to read “Logout”. It is not necessary to log out before leaving the website but if required, this can be done by clicking on the “Logout” text.
To change your User Name or other user details click on the User Name at the top right hand corner of the page. The details on this page can be edited as necessary. Any fields marked with an asterisk must have values in them; any others can be left blank. To change your password (i.e.User Name), follow the instructions in the “Change Password” section, making sure to click on “Update Password” when ready. We recommend that the password is changed from the default one as soon as possible. To exit this screen either click on “Update” if data has been changed or “Cancel” if it hasn’t. To cease to be a member of the website, click on “Unregister”.
Please note that you cannot update the Society Password.
