Club & Track Details

During the summer of 1995, a route was agreed and work began on clearing the ground for the track (dual gauge 71/4 and 5 inch). After three years of groundwork which included track building and fitting, the laying of ten sets of points, plus a steel bridge which crosses the pond, the continuous circuit measured a distance of three quarters of a mile in length.Since then, the railway has had many refinements and additions, and we now have an enthusiastic group of thirteen members, who have brought with them various skill sets, which include making signals, a new carriage shed and boarding to keep the ballast in place.We offer open days for other clubs to visit and run their locos. The railway is also available for children’s parties. Visit our website for the season's open days.
