Axel Box v Horn guides

Would someone be kind enough to confirm the tolerance i need to include between the axel boxes and horn guides on my 7 1/2 G Hunslet

Just enough, but not too much!!!!

Seriously, it must be free enough to move up and down and a few degrees laterally, without binding, but not so loose that it moves backwards and forwards.

Thank you Peter,

i'll work on " Just enough " thanks for confirming the back and forwards bit, that's what was confusing me, i have fixed one horn block on each cut out on my frames and will use each axel box to set the position for the next four horn block, so up and down will be fine with no lateral movement etc
