At work I became quite involved in the use of steel which had to be certificated. Our stockist if he knew it was for an application requiring tracability, would always source the relevant plate and deliver it complete with a certificate. you may well have to pay a charge for the supply of the certificate to cover the paperwork.

Any steel stockist should be able to supply the relvant steel. Barratt stockholders ( not advertising)have lasers and can cut the steel to shape and I would expect them to be able to supply certificated steel. The one point that you will need to watch is that these days the generic term "boiler plate" does not apply and you will need to purchase the steel against the actual grade that you require and they will supply.
