Loco info required

I have received the following e-mail from a lady trying to trace engines built by her grandfather. If any of you can help, could you please get in touch either via this forum or the chairman@sevenandaquarter.org e-mail please.

"I am trying to find out anything about any of the loco's that my
Grandfather - P J Rowe - built between about 1920 and the early 1950s. He built as a part time hobby and only completed about 8 or 10 of them - mostly 7 1/4 gauge.
I have found and seen one of them - Mere Hall - at the Great Cockrow Railway. I have pictures of some of the others including Sir Felix Pole which was at the SMEE exhibition in the 1920s.
I just wonder if you or any of your colleagues have any information at all about any of his engines."

Hi Nige

Can you give us any more details on what she's looking for and more on the the mans full name as P J Rowe can mean anything as It rules me out.

Thanks
Alan

Hi Alan,
To expand a bit, P J Rowe was Percy James Rowe (1887-1956) who was originally from Willesden but moved to Welwyn in 1927. He advertised castings and loco building in M.E. in 1924 and the loco Sir Felix Pole was pictured in an old SMEE brochure.

Nige
