Reverser screw and nut

Hello everybody.

I would like to convert the reverser of a free lance steam locomotive I have (7 1/4 standard gauge) from pole to screw.
Does somebody know a source for either the appropriate screw and nut (LH Trapeze thread) or tooling (tap and die) to make one ?
Many thanks for your help.

Michel. (Paris - France)

Michel,

I have bought trapezoidal screws and nuts from here:

https://www.accu.co.uk/en/810-trapezoidal-lead-screws

and have been very happy with them

Regards

Peter

Many thanks Peter, this supplier is a gold mine !
Any suggestion on the lead ? (should be big enough to reduce the number of turns but small enough to be self locking)
Acme screws seem to be available in smaller diameters but they don't seem to have the corresponding simple bronze nuts ?
Thanks again for your help and Greetings from France !
