Hi Andrew,
I recently picked up a job lot of drawings which I intend to advertise. Among them are 4 sheets for a 7 1/4 g. LMS 4F and a drawing/casting list from Mackingdale - I don't know if they are still in business. The only 7 1/4g. 4F I have seen was advertised by Roy Gregson AKA Steamdays about 3yrs ago , they're pretty rare beasts. Let me know if the drawings are any use. I can bring them to Harrogate or post them.
Regards Ray

Hi Ray,

yeah i'd be interested in them, can you tell me what the drawings are and how much your wanting for them?

i can't find anything regarding Mackingdale's on the web and steamdays don't have an archive on there website!

I'm going to Harrogate show but i'll only be there on the sunday, would that be any good for you?

thanks

Andrew.

Andrew,

The 4F was first designed by a member (not sure if he still is) from West Yorkshire. He sold the drawings to Gary Tyso (P. P. Mackindale). One set of drawings were built buy a senior member of the Bradford MES and also a mutual friend of the designer who also designed the 2F. The engine can be seen on the BMES website - training day 2011.

Andrew

I spoke to the Bradford member at Harrogate show this afternoon and your e mail has been forwarded to him. I hope this helps you.

Hi,
I should have added that I've possibly ended up with the drawings mentioned above. Woudl very much like to see the rest of the design. (Not complaining as I did read the very clear ebay description. It's a nice locomotive, again having seen some footage on Youtube)

Best Regards,
Jonathan
