Whistles

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I could buy thin walled brass tube for making a whistle? I'm looking at szes around 7/8" OD. K&S do smaller sizes with 14 thou wall thickness. I have spoken to a company ho repair brass instruments and they say they don't buy ne material, they recycle the brass from a stock of old instruments they have.

Neil, if you look in our magazine or Trade Directory (page 2) you will find a non-ferrous metal stockist, Noggin End Metals. Perhaps he can help.

Andries, did you use spark erosion to do this?

I have been informed that K&S do up to 3/4" brass tube via their suppliers.

Neil,
I am the author of "Wheezeless Whistles" and have a supply of 5/8" 3/4" and 1" thin wall brass tube which I specially imported from Taiwan. I would be pleased to send you a quantity at cost if you wish or alternatively, I could make you a whistle to your requirements when I have enough orders to make it worth while. Bob Bramson 2945.
