re boiler fittings, it seems that most of the boiler fittings now supplied to the trade are made in brass I thought they should be in pb or gm ... what's the feeling of the 71/4" members?

also has any one tried synthetic oil for gen lube?

Hi Graham, I would only use bronze for valves direct into the boiler. Some suppliers do sell them commercially if you search hard enough! I did make my own safety valves out of bronze, as I couldn't find 1/2 inch BSP ones at sensible prices. Quite easy in the end!

thanks for your reply Royston I agree PB doe's make more sense it's just that I was speaking to one of our major suppliers who stated that boiler fittings are coming in made from brass!!!!
