lost engines

Hi,

We are looking to hold an event next year for our railways 25th anniversary. There were two steam engines that were based at the Swanley New Barn Railway in the early days. One was a variant of the Romulus type she sported pannier tanks rather than the usual side tanks, I believe she was called 'perient taid' (I think that's how it's spelt) she was built by David Meredith unfortunately, we don't have any photo's either. The other was 'Great Northern' a pacific (maybe an A1 or A3?) photos are on our website of Great Northern. If anyone owns one or either of these engines then it would be great to hear from you as it would be nice to see the 'original' fleet again! (it was a bit before my time though),

Nathan

Hi Nathan,

I know of one person who has an LNER Pacific names Great Northern, an A3 I believe, but whether it is the one from Swanley new barn, I know not.
If you send me your email address, then I will be pleased to contact the owner and inform him of your enquiry.
Best wishes
