tinkerbell boiler design

please advise a recommended boiler type for my tinkerbell project using 3 inch cylinders .is the original roger marsh design ok or is there a better type regards Ian AUST

The original marine boiler is very unlikely to be able to supply cylinders bored out that big. You need to purchase a loco boiler from any one of the steel boiler makers who have a suitable design. I built one just like this (3" cylinders and loco boiler), and she went very well indeed.

Ian, at East Herts Miniature Railway we run two Tinkerbells and the cylinders are bored out if I remember correctly to two and three quarters both have loco boilers which were built by Andy Bennett in Bristol and it was to a design by him which was certified by Cornhills
