A request for support please

Riverside Miniature Railway Club (RMRC) is so close to becoming a new 7 1/4" (and 5") gauge railway in Cambridgeshire.

The RMRC has been formed for over 6 months and negotiations with our respective councils have been taking place for much longer. We are now almost at the stage of breaking ground - just a couple of minor planning hiccups to overcome.

In order to help us get up and running we have applied to the AVIVA Community Awards scheme and now need as many votes as possible to stand the best chance of receiving a share of their award funds. We will use these towards the cost of buying our trackwork materials for the first phase of construction.

Please can I ask that you support us by voting at the following location:
https://community-fund.aviva.co.uk/voting/project/view/16-3576

Voting will only take a few moments and will be a big boost to our project - please also feel free to share this link as widely as possible to further increase our votes count.

Many thanks in advance and please keep a close watch on here for further news, needless to say all are welcome to come along to St Neots and see us.

Kind Regards, Ivan Hewlett (1065) Chairman of RMRC

Hello Ivan

Done, sir! And I'll put up a poster in our club house this morning, although I don't know if it will have any effect (who reads notices!)

I was surprised to see how short is the voting period - closes 18th November.

Best wishes,
George Coles

Hi George

Many thanks !! I like the poster too.

Yes, the voting process is quite short, but that's because they run the scheme twice a year I believe - still a quick vote leads to a quick outcome and early funding for the lucky winners.

Thanks again for your votes and help - fingers crossed for a good outcome.

Kind Regards, Ivan
