Gauge Glass

I'm currently (amongst a lot of other things) trying to renovate a very old model. Obviously it is all imperial sizes. I need a new gauge glass 7/32" (Accurately 0.214") The only stuff I seem to be able to find is metric, 6mm is too big, and 5mm seems to small. As I don't want to alter the water gauge what does anybody suggest? Will just a thicker packing manage?

This may be your lucky day! I have some odd bits of gaugeglass probably purchased at a club auction many years ago and there is a piece of blue line .214" diameter X 4" long. If this is enough for you let me know and it's yours.

Glass received, Pete, and will be fitted this afternoon, when a hydraulic and steam tests will be done. It runs well on air so I've no worries about it on steam. Supurb!
