Just curious, but is there a Big Boy or Challenger in the UK anymore ? I know there used to be, but I believe the Dobwalls Big Boy went to Aus.

A big boy was built some years ago by a gentleman in the south and there are pictures of it at Echills Wood. I have not seen it lately.

Re John's reply....I do know of a loco [I think a big boy] built by an ''Alan''. This loco, I think, was donated to the LEEK club [Northern Holland]. And now runs there.

Hi Vulcanworks there is a Big Boy that runs at Ascot track owned by Ian. Also I am building a 7 1/4 Big Boy and I take it to Alexander Palace every year (the front engine was in Engineering in Miniature April) but everything on it takes a long time so much repertition. Alan J.
