Wheel Base / Radius formula.

Hi all, I know this subject has come up the past but I can't find any data on it. I vaguely remember there being two differ formula, a) one that was very accurate and another that was, b). one for want of a better word crude calculation for minimal gauge railways. many thanks Lynne L
